A Companion to Science Fiction A Companion to Science Fiction assembles essays by an international range of scholars which discuss the contexts, themes history of science fiction and methods used by science fiction writers. It conveys the scale history of science fiction and variety of science fiction history of science fiction and also shows how science fiction novels have been used as a means of debating cultural issues. Science-Fiction: The Gernsback Years by Everett F. Bleiler, Complementing Science-Fiction: The Early Years, which surveys science-fiction published in book form from its beginnings through 1930, the present volume covers all the science-fiction printed in the genre magazines -- Amazing, Astounding; history of science fiction and Wonder, along with offshoots history of science fiction and minor magazines -- from 1926 through 1936.
